Our People

At Ohana, we know that the quality of our support begins with the quality of our people.

Our team is carefully selected for both their professional experience and their genuine compassion. We bring together a diverse mix of experienced professionals and outstanding early-career individuals who are passionate about building meaningful careers in human services. Together, they create a team that is knowledgeable, energetic, compassionate, and committed to making a lasting difference.

Our staff come from a range of backgrounds, including disability support, healthcare, education, community services, youth work, and early childhood, allowing us to provide well-rounded, person-centred support to every individual and family we work alongside.

We don't simply employ great people—we invest in them. Every team member completes a comprehensive onboarding program and ongoing professional development through Ohana's internal training framework, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to deliver exceptional support.

At a minimum, every Ohana team member holds:

  • Working with Vulnerable People (or equivalent) clearance

  • National Police Check

  • Current First Aid Certification

  • Current CPR Certification

  • Safe Sleep Training

  • Comprehensive Ohana induction and mandatory internal training

Most importantly, every member of our team shares the same commitment to our values of Community and Compassion. We believe technical skills can be taught, but kindness, integrity, and genuine care are what truly make exceptional support workers.

When an Ohana team member walks through your door, you can be confident they're not only qualified—they're supported, prepared, and genuinely invested in making a positive difference.
