Our Story

Ohana Care Australia started with a simple idea: care should feel human.

After working across disability, youth and family services, our founder saw the same gap time and time again, particularly in rural and regional communities. Families were often expected to accept whoever was available, young people experienced a revolving door of support workers, and living outside a major city could mean having very little choice at all.

Ohana was created to do things differently.

What began as a small, relationship-focused service has grown into a team supporting children, young people, adults and families across regional communities in NSW and Tasmania. While we continue to grow, the heart of Ohana remains the same: consistent people, genuine relationships and support built around the individual.

We take the time to understand the person behind the support plan — their goals, personality, family, community and the things that matter to them. We believe great support isn't just about turning up for a shift; it's about building trust, celebrating progress, sticking around and becoming part of someone's village.

And while we're proud of how far Ohana has come, we're even more excited about where we're going, continuing to bring greater choice, connection and quality support to communities that too often miss out.

Because everyone deserves a village.
