Trauma-informed, relationship-led support for children, young people and families, specialising in neurodivergent Disability Support, In- Home Care and rural and remote support.
Why families choose Ohana Care
At Ohana Care Australia, we believe that everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and genuinely supported, regardless of their age, ability, or where they call home.
Whether we're providing in-home care, disability support, or working in Australia’s most rural and remote communities, our purpose remains the same: to build meaningful relationships that empower people to live life with confidence, independence, and connection.
We understand that inviting someone into your home or entrusting them with the care of someone you love is a significant decision. That's why we lead with compassion, consistency, and a person-centred approach that places each individual's goals, preferences, and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.
Our team supports children, young people, and adults with a wide range of needs. We have particular experience supporting neurodivergent individuals and recognise that every person experiences the world differently. Rather than expecting people to fit into our way of providing support, we tailor our services to fit the individual.
We are also passionate about ensuring that geography is never a barrier to quality care. Families and individuals living in rural, regional, and remote Australia deserve the same access to compassionate, reliable support as those in metropolitan areas, and we're proud to help bridge that gap.
Everything we do is guided by two simple values: Community and Compassion.
We work alongside participants, families, carers and other professionals to create a strong circle of support that encourages choice, independence, and meaningful participation in everyday life. Whether we're helping someone maintain their home, build daily living skills, access their community, or simply providing a trusted, familiar face, we're committed to delivering support that feels personal, not clinical.
What our Ohana Families Say
“Finding Ohana completely changed things for our family. After moving away from our support network, we were struggling to juggle work, school, and everyday life. From the very beginning, the team made our children feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. The connection they built with our son was incredible; he actually looks forward to his support days now.”
— Sarah M,. - Launceston, Tas
“We had tried multiple support workers before Ohana, but nothing ever truly clicked. The difference with Ohana is how genuine and invested they are. They took the time to understand our daughter as a person, not just a participant. Seeing her confidence and independence grow over the past few months has been amazing.”
— Lucy, S. - Central West, NSW
“Ohana’s nannying support has honestly been life-changing for our family. Running a business and raising young kids can feel impossible at times, but having someone we completely trust in our home has taken such a weight off our shoulders. Our girls absolutely adore Rahni, and knowing they’re safe, cared for and genuinely having fun gives us so much peace of mind.”
— Maria - Launceston, Tas
